Joyful Cry

Come

Let us lift aloud a joyful cry

Unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

For if our praises shook the earth and sky

Still his glory could not be described

 

For he knelt to earth and took on flesh

Even bore a cross and tasted death

He took the wrath for our own wickedness

And redeemed us when he rose again

 

So though the world strikes with fear and pain

We stand firm in knowing Jesus reigns

For he is Yahweh, Name Above All Names

And his glory shall not be contained

 

And after every battle has been won

There will be endless years of praise to come

When every people, nation, tribe, and tongue

Declare the awesome works that he has done

 

Come

Let us magnify the Lord of Lords

Let his name forever be adored

And while we wait through famine, pain, and sword

May we hope in Christ, our great reward
